Sitting in the Phoenix Airport early this evening about to fly home…watching severe weather on the Plains…

A couple of tornado warnings are in effect in Southeast Kansas this evening in the Wichita area of reponsibility. For Anderson County until 745 pm…for Allen County until 730 pm.

Here is the storm producing the tornadoes…

6:39…Northeast of Yates Center [Woodson Co, KS] law enforcement reports TORNADO at 06:33 PM CST — two small ropes reported on the ground
6:48… KAKE emp/chaser…tor on ground…west of Colony…lost contact. Southern Anderson Co. He was just east Colony

This is being caused by the same system that will cause severe weather problems for us tomorrow…
