The Storm Prediction Center has western Alabama in a Slight risk outlook for severe weather tonight and a large part of the state in a Slight risk for tomorrow.

A strong upper level system will push a squall line eastward this afternoon. It will reach western Alabama this evening. While it will be weakening, there will be a chance for severe weather, with the main threats being high winds and hail.
Here is the day two outlook (Sunday):
The front pushing the squall line will stall out over Central Alabama on Sunday. Any chances for severe weather will come from redevelopment of storms during the afternoon. The best chances for this will be to our southeast, but will be something we will watch.
It will be breezy and mild across Alabama today. Winds will average some 8-16 mph out of the southeast and south. Winds will occasionally gust to 20 mph.
Mostly cloudy conditions will give way to some sunshine durig the day. Temperatures will rise to near 80 during the afternoon.
