Showers are fairly numerous over parts of Alabama this afternoon.

They are common over the northern third of the state, north of a line from Hamilton to Dodge City to Southside to Heflin.

Draw another line from Carrollton to Prattville…back up to Ashland then down to Lafayette…and between those two lines, showers are fairly scarce.

Some of the heaviest rain was between Aliceville, Pickensville and Carrollton in Pickens County.

Other heavier showers and storms are in the Prattville area and north of Alexander City.

But south of that line, showers and storms were more common.

Everything is still lifting northward in response to the low to the west of Alabama.
