Showers and storms are now starting to form over eastern Mississippi from Columbus to Tupelo over into West Alabama’s Lamar County.
Additional storms were forming back to the northwest up Corridor X towards Memphis.
All of the activity was moving southeast.
Development should continue through the afternoon and into the evening hours.
Some of the storms could eventually become strong to severe with lots of lightning and the potential for damaging winds. The SPC has now removed Alabama from the Slight Risk area for the rest of today and tonight.
Keep a weather eye to the sky through the late afternoon and overnight hours and be ready to act if thunderstorms approach your area.
