After dumping some very heavy rain late today and this evening, showers and thunderstorms were “going downhill” Just before 8 o’clock, there was a west to east line of showers from Talladega County east across Clay and Randolph County to near Wedowee. Some moderate to heavy showers included but not nearly as heavy as earlier.
Some light to moderate showers also extend from Shelby County west to Tuscaloosa County.
The earlier strong thunderstorms dumped 1.37 inches of rain in Hoover/Riverchase. A few other amounts today, or in the last 24 hours:
