At 748 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Detroit to near Caledonia.
Movement was southeast at 10 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include…
Vernon, Sulligent, Millport, Lamar County Airport, Crews, Bedford,
Star, Hightogy, Lamar County Public Lake and Melborne.

A shortwave trough continues to move through Alabama today, so showers and a few thunderstorms are possible statewide. Upper-level ridging returns tomorrow and Tuesday, and rain chances dwindle before another storm system moves through Wednesday, bringing more rain and thunderstorms to Alabama. The beginning of next week will be on the drier and quieter side before an upper-level trough pushes a surface low-pressure system through Alabama on Wednesday, bringing more rain and some storms.
