At 640 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Heflin to near Bowdon. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Heflin, Wedowee, Lake Wedowee, Ranburne, Woodland, Morrison Cross
Roads, Fosters Cross Roads, Corinth, Graham, Hollis Crossroads,
Newell, R.L. Harris Dam, Ofelia, Napoleon, Tennant, Trickem, Lake
Cleburne, Micaville, Chalafinnee and Big Springs.

Overcast with Showers Today
A shortwave trough continues to move through Alabama today, so showers and a few thunderstorms are possible statewide. Upper-level ridging returns tomorrow and Tuesday, and rain chances dwindle before another storm system moves through Wednesday, bringing more rain and thunderstorms to Alabama.
