A change of venue here… greetings from Atlanta. Thanks to J.B., Bill, Brian, and Dr. Tim for keeping the blog fresh through the night. Great info. Also, thanks to our big team of Skywatchers for their support on the chat session. Scroll down a bit for lots of pictures from tonight.
The snow/rain is ending over West Alabama, and it sure looks like all of the precipitation will be out of the state by daybreak. And, the forecast seems to be working just fine as all reports are in the “dusting to 1 inch” range, on grassy areas. We have not heard of one single MVA (motor vehicle accident) tonight, and travel problems are not expected. Still, one or two icy spots on bridges are not totally out of the question.
The sky will become sunny today, and the small amount of snow we have will vanish soon, so get those cameras out early! Brian Peters will have the morning discussion and Weather Xtreme video later this morning…
