There are some snow flakes flying up in the northern part of the state this morning. From Cullman northwestward to Muscle Shoals there is a good shot at seeing some snow flurries through the early morning hours. The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Snow Advisory for north Mississippi including places like Corinth, Oxford, and Tunica for up to 1-2 inches of snow. If you’re traveling US 78 from Birmingham to Memphis this morning, or even US 82 from Columbus, MS to Greenville, MS, there may be a few slick spots there.
In central Alabama, we’re not expecting snow today, but there will still be some patchy drizzle and light rain. Temperatures this morning are holding near 40 with a northwest wind, and yes, it’s still “game on” for the cold this weekend!
