Snow on the Outer Banks

Here’s something you don’t see everyday: a winter weather advisory on the North Carolina coast.

Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected by this evening in places like Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Newport, Morehead City, Beaufort, New Bern and Jacksonville, NC.

Flurries and light sleet are being reported as far south as Charleston, SC this morning.
