Everything seems to be in slow motion with Fay as she comes up on her one week birthday. Here are a couple of notes on Fay just before 1 pm CDT.

  • Center about to come off coast of Florida.
  • Center is broad but still fairly easy to find.
  • Most hourly reporting locations on land experiencing wind of 25 to 30 mph with higher gusts
  • Water temperature in Northeast Gulf running about 83 to 85 degrees.
  • Movement is still west around 4 pm with some wobbles noted.
  • Outer rain shield now on Montgomery NWS radar but not yet on BMX – but close.
  • I’m sure JB will be along with more information in a few minutes. He’s a weather machine!! Oh, and a legend!!
