Two very intense storms on radar now. One in southern Walker county, approaching Gorgas, Cordova, Dora, and The Warrior River. Another in Pickens County near Carrollton. The storms are moving east at 30 mph, and may affect parts of Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties in the next hour. These storms may produce hail, and show weak signs of rotation on radar.

The main line of storms is from Chattanooga, TN, to Cullman, AL, to Vernon.

Looking at the BMX sounding and current temps and dewpoints, there is still some elevated instability to keep these storms going for at least another couple of hours. There is still 0-1 km (low level) helicity of 200, so we will have to watch for the possibility of storm rotation.
