Our MCV is pushing east through St. Clair, Talladega and Coosa Counties. The northern part is weakening. The southern part is still quite intense over southeastern Chilton, Coosa, Elmore and Autauga Counties.

Rain is ending in eastern Jefferson and Shelby Counties.

We still hear booming thunder here in Trussville.

Meanwhile, back to the west and northwest, storms have increased in number and intensity from Cullman and Marshall Counties through Walker, Fayette and northern Tuscaloosa Counties. This activity is pushing southeast and will affect much of Blount and Jefferson Counties over the next 90 minutes.

These storms are forming ahead of the cold front which is near the northwest corner of the state.
