Things are calming down over East Central Alabama tonight as the big complex of storms moves into Georgia and Southeast Alabama.
One warning in the state right now…a severe thunderstorm warning for Pike and Bullock counties in Southeast Alabama.
Big area of rain across Chambers and Tallapoosa Counties. The line of storms extends from Barbour and Bullock Counties through Pike and into Covington Counties.
There is still scattered thunderstorm activity in southern Tennessee ahead of a cold front that is expected to continue southward overnight.
The GFS model depicts an eastward moving disturbance that will set off more showers and storms overnight ahead of the front. It is yet to be seen where the main development will occur.
The front will slide southward tomorrow, pushing the chances for rain into South Central and then South Alabama after the morning hours.
