Looking at BMX sounding for the day, and we have a VERY moist airmass in place. The precipitable water (the amount of water that could be squeezed out of the entire atmosphere over one spot by a thunderstorm) is 5.78 cm (2.28″). This is the highest amount of atmospheric moisture this month, and about as high as it ever gets! So, any storms that form today could produce heavy rainfall amounts!

Some low clouds have been holding back storm activity so far this morning, but as those clouds thin out and temps warm into the 80s, expect numerous thunderstorms to develop again early this afternoon.
