. . .and those strangers are showers. Have not seen many of them in the last month,
At 7:20 am, a nice array of showers had moved into NW and West Central Alabama incuding moderate to heavy showers in several areas.
The more numerous showers extended from Sumter and Greene County in West Central Alabama northward through Pickens, Lamar, Marion and Franklin County. To the east, showers were also increasing across Winston, Lawrence and Cullman County.
Over in East Alabama, a smaller cluster of moderate to heavy showers approaching Jacksonville, Anniston and Oxford.
The heaviest showers of all were over Pickens County in West Alabama.
Everything moving SE. Showers were within 30 miles west of Tuscaloosa.
Very little lightning so far.
An approaching cold front, among other things, was triggering the showers.
