Strong storms continue to track southwest across Central Alabama this evening.
The most intense activity is stretching from southeastern Jefferson County, into Shelby, Talladega and Clay Counties. Areas especially near Logan Martin Dam, Vincent, Sterret, Harpersville and Childersburg need to be on the look out as these storms will be impacting these locations.
Storms are producing very heavy rain, gusty winds, hail, tremendous amounts of lightning accompanied by deafening thunder. This activity will continue to slide off to the southwest over the next few hours. Storms are not currently severe, but they could certainly pulse up and reach severe limits briefly.
