A cluster of very strong, but non-severe storms continues to lift north through Central Alabama this afternoon. These storms are producing very ominous clouds across the Metro area.
With these storms, expect very heavy rainfall, gusty winds, perhaps some hail, and frequent and dangerous lightning. Areas around Hueytown, Bessemer, Fairfield, Adamsville, Alabaster, and Pelham are being impacted. Heads up if you are near Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, Fultondale, and Gardendale, and if you will be traveling along Interstates 20/59, 22, 65, and 459 as well as highways 31 and 78.
