Strong storms are over Jefferson County now, from Mulga to downtown, extending across the Forestdale area.
Look out for gusty winds, heavy rain and dangerous lightning as well as small hail from these storms as they push southeast across much of the Metro from Roebuck to Irondale to Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Homewood, Hoover, Fairfield and Bessemer.
Dime sized hail was reported in Forestdale at 5 p.m.
In the big picture:
…Strong storms cover much of southern Tuscaloosa, Hale, Bibb, Perry, Dallas and Autauga Counties.
…Another strong storm is over eastern Winston Couny and western Cullman County. It will move southeast toward Bremen and The Colony.
