An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

AFTERNOONS STAY WARM: Temperatures are generally in the 80 to 84 degree range across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. Our weather won’t change much through Friday with ample sunshine daily and a high in the low to mid 80s. Morning lows will be generally in the 50s.

THE WEEKEND: A cold front will pass through Alabama Saturday evening… the models continue to trend drier with only few isolated showers around between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The spring football game at Auburn won’t be bothered by rain, and there is only a slight risk of a shower in Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s A-Day game. The high Saturday will be in the upper 70s. Sunday looks sunny and cooler with a high in the low to mid 70s.

NEXT WEEK AND BEYOND: Watch the Weather Xtreme video and you will see the 12Z GFS keeps the first half of the week rain-free, with highs mostly in the 76 to 81 degree range Monday through Wednesday. Showers will return by the end of the week, and some rain sure looks possible over the following weekend (April 24-25). This is race weekend at Talladega, so don’t panic… remember there isn’t much skill in a specific weather forecast beyond seven days, so things could change.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. You can even listen here on the blog; look for the player on the top left.
