The NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Marion and Winston Counties in Northwest Alabama. It is effective until noon.
The storms have the potential to produce winds in excess of 60 mph, which is strong enough to uproot trees, severely damage outbuildings and produce light to moderate damage to homes and other structures.
