A very dangerous storm is entering western Pickens County. It is 12 miles southwest of Carrollton.
An even more dangerous looking storm is near Scooba, MS. It will move into northern Sumter and southern Pickens Counties.
These are going to be the main storms to watch over the next hour.
Tornado watches cover all 67 counties of Alabama…western half until 6 p.m….eastern half until 8 p.m. Both are PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watches.
Virtually the entire state in under a HIGH RISK outlook for severe weather except for the northeast corner of the state, which is under a MODERATE RISK…so not much better.
