Many parts of Alabama report a growing need for rain lately. We have even heard the “D” word (drought) whispered a few times.
The deep layer of tropical air over Alabama lately has provided that rain to some areas. Only problem–with tropical downpours they are rarely uniform so some places get too much rain while other are left high and dry. For example, last Saturday brought 3.58 inches of rain to Leeds and they have received an additional 1.25 in the last 24 hours.
