In the heat of the afternoon, thunderstorms continue to build across Alabama.

At 4 o’clock, they were more numerous over the south part of the state mainly south of Montgomery.

For example, a strong thunderstorm near Lowdnesboro, in Lowdnes County, may produce winds to 45 mph, very heavy rain and dangerous lightning.

Over Extreme North Alabama, thunderstorms continue active over East Lawrence, Madison, Limestone, Morgan and North Cullman.

In Central Alabama, thunderstorms were increasing across the Birmingham Metro area mainly across Shelby and South Jefferson County into West St Clair County.

A thunderstorm was in progress at Birmingham Airport for the 4th day in a row.

Everything moving northward.

AUTUMN FOLIAGE
Working on a story about how we will fare in our autumn color season coming up. I asked an expert. Will post the story here on the blog tomorrow morning.
