Almost all of the scattered thunderstorms in Alabama this afternoon were over the south half of the state. From about the south edge of Shelby County southward into Chilton and Coosa Counties, then all the way down to Crenshaw, Covington and Coffee Counties.

There were some other individual storms over Randolph County in East Alabama and a few were trying to form over places like Walker and Fayette Counties, but they have not been very successful so far. Movement of everything has been slowly toward the SE.

At Jemison in North Chilton County, 33/40 skywatcher Justin Gentry, reports 0.68 of rain so far this afternoon. This brings their total to an impressive 2.46 inches within the past week.
