The two powerful storms over southern Mississippi that had the potential to produce violent tornadoes have turned a bit to the left and are now headed more toward Choctaw, Sumter and Greene Counties in Alabama.
The first is passing just east of Meridian now. It will move up I-59 into Sumter County near Livingston.
The second is near Bay Springs in Kemper County. It will pass south of Meridian.
These storms will move up into Central Alabama later this evening where the airmass is very unstable.
