The NWS has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of southern Jefferson county.
Radar seems to indicate a slight “wave” in the line of storms coming through just west of downtown BHM, and an “inflow notch”, which sometimes indicates storm rotation, near Bessemer.
Other parts of Jefferson county may also see winds in excess of 50 mph, and a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for the whole county.
