The NWS has canceled the tornado warning for the cell near Demopolis. They are going to issue a new severe thunderstorm warning for the wind/hail threat.
The warning is for Sumter, southern Greene, Hale and northern Marengo Counties.
The most dangerous part of the storm is passing into southern Hale County and will move to near Greensboro.
Another dangerous portion is near Cuba. Today’s rainfall rates are pretty low down in the area of the storms, but rainfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are occurring and flooding can happen easily with the storms.

These storms are unpredictable and it could cycle up again, so be alert.
