The SPC has issued a tornado watch for parts of Northeast Louisiana and a large part of Central and western Mississippi. It goes until 9 p.m. CST.
Storms are increasing ahead of a cold front now over eastern Arkansas and Louisiana.
A tornado warning is in effect in the Mississippi Delta for Washington County MS and Chicot County AR.
The storms are expected to congeal into a line of storms that will sweep into Alabama later tonight. Based on current timing, they could reach Western Alabama by 9 p.m. or so as they move east at 35 mph.
The storms should have even less instability to work with when they get over into our area, but we still could see warnings tonight, so stay close to a source for weather information through the night tonight.
