There are two disturbances of note in the tropical Atlantic.
One is an area of low pressure over the eastern Gulf, northwestern Caribbean and Bahamas. This system got a little better organized on Thursday, and there is some chance that it will develop into a tropical cyclone (about 40% according to the NHC).
The first significant tropical wave of the eastern Atlantic is a little more than a day from reaching the Lesser Antilles. It has a small chance of developing as well.
So the tropics are starting to heat up.
