NWS/Birmingham has extended the Tornado Warning for Tuscaloosa County until 6:15. The main core of the storm has now crossed over the Greene/Tuscaloosa line near Ralph. It was moving toward the NE and seemed to be heading directly toward downtown Tuscaloosa and the Holt/Northport area.
Earlier large hail was reported in two locations in this thunderstorm while it was over NE Greene County. Some of the hail was quarter size.
We will continue to watch this storm closely and also post additional storm reports when we get them.
We should mention that we noticed brief formation of a couple of small showers halfway across the state of Mississippi and also another line of storms that extended from extreme SE Missouri down into NE Arkansas. All of this could spell more trouble for us for later tonight. We will keep you posted until we run out of coffee. (Hint: We have 11 pounds in stock.)
