On NWS tour (good seminar and meeting with NWS Nashville, TN this morning, now on I-57 north in Illinois, NE of St. Louis.) I got behind schedule with road construction in southern IL (stimulus package, I guess). Now, storms forming into a bow echo from Missouri into northern Illinois. Chicago under warning now. At least I will probably hit the storms south of Chicago, not in that traffic zone. Probably near Champaign, IL. I can see the anvil tops ahead of me now.
