It appears with the upper closed low going by today and Sunday that our weather will remain a trifle unsettled for the weekend. Fortunately, it would appear that most of the rain and showers that occur will be somewhat limited so I’m not expecting a lot of rain. Look for mostly cloudy skies today although we might see a few peeks at the sun this afternoon. There are some patches of rain and a few showers moving through this morning and there is chance for additional scattered showers this afternoon. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than we’ve seen recently with a high only in the lower to mid 50s.

The closed low moves east Sunday but it’s influence will still be felt with some clouds and small potential for scattered showers. Highs should still only reach into the 50s.

Monday we get back to work on a nice note as the closed upper low moves further away putting us between systems. But two short waves will be impacting our weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday will be dry with small chances for showers once again on Wednesday. We should return to temperatures closer to what we typically see for mid March at midweek with slightly warmer highs toward the end of the week.

By late Friday and into Saturday a new cold front along with another surge of cold air will be poised to bring us some rain and another chilly spell. Fortunately, it does not appear likely that this cold air will stick around long. And at the moment, while we will see some rain, it does not look too favorable for severe weather.

Venturing further afield, there are no signs of any really big weather systems for cold or severe weather through the end of March. The pattern remains somewhat active but also somewhat zonal for us meaning some rain chances but no appreciably cold weather on the horizon.
