Severe thunderstorm warning for Etowah County until 645 p.m.
New severe thunderstorm warning for Cherokee County. It goes until 7:30. The strongest part of the storm was near Centre.
A line of strong thunderstorms continues tonight from near Centre to Glencoe to near Lincoln to Childersburg. That strecth hrough Talladega County is some of the strongest radar returns. There will be potentially damaging winds, torrential rains, lightning and perhaps even some mall hail as it continues moving eastward.
The line continues on to Sylacauga, Clanton and Selma. Some of the strongest storms are between Clanton and Maplesville with lots of lightning.
A flash flood warning remains in effect for Shelby County.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 8 p.m. for areas along and ahead of the line of storms.
At least 13 fatalities from today’s tornadoes in Alabama. The death could go higher.
