A line of strong thunderstorms continues to progress eastward into West Alabama.
At 6:20 am, the line was from west of Decatur southward to near Hackleburg, Haleyville, Vernon, Carrollton and Livingston.
Another shorter line was entering West Hale and NW Marengo County, approaching Moundville, Akron and Demopolis.
These West Alabama storms should weaken the further they penetrate into Alabama but a Tornado Watch is in effect for the SW part of the state until 11 o’clock this morning.
Another line of storms will develop later today near a cold front. The Storm Prediction Center has all of Alabama under a slight risk today from about Birmingham southward.
