It is 3:30 in the early morning of Wednesday and here is how Alabama weather looks while most humans and dogs are still asleep…
* A narrow line of moderate to heavy showers from Shelby County north through East Jefferson County to about Huntsville in Extreme North Alabama. Heaviest rain was over West Marshall and Madison County.
* Rain was widespread, with some embedded showers over East Central and SE Alabama. Some of the heaviest rain was over Bullock, Pike and the north parts of Coffee and Dale County.
* Still another north-south line of showers over East Mississippi that will be moving into West Alabama. Moderate to heavy showers will enter West Alabama’s Pickens, Lamar and Marion Counties. Very little lightning with all this.
* For a time earlier this morning, the NWS in Mobile placed the south part of Covington County in Extreme South Alabama under a Tornado Warning. The suspected tornado was moving north generally toward the city of Andalusia.
