At 7:30 this morning, all of the heavier rain had moved well to the east of Birmingham, so the remainder of the morning drive, or rush hour, should not have any problems.
There is still widespread rain over in East Alabama including a short line of thunderstorms. All of the precipitation is moving east rather quickly.
The Tornado Watch is no longer in effect, except for the extreme SE corner of Alabama and the NW Florida Panhandle.
We will see some sunshine later and our afternoon temperatures will peak between 65 and 70. That could possibly trigger a few more strong to severe storms at some point this afternoon.
We will continue to watch the situation as the day goes on.
