They were in progress late this afternoon over North and Central Alabama and some others in Mobile County.
They are small showers but some are moderate in intensity.
You could shove all of the showers into one corner of the state and only a very small percentage of the thirsty Alabama countryside would be covered.
At 4:10 pm, the showers were moving slowly NW.
Tropical Storm Barry is already circulating some moisture into the NE Gulf of Mexico. Depending on his future track, SE Alabama could benefit.
