Look at this visible satellite image over South Gerogia this afternoon. It clearly shows two large wildfires west and south of Waycross.
The fire south of Waycross is the Sweat Farm Road fire. It has burned nearly 70,000 acres. It is 70% contained. Over 800 personnel are working to fight the fire. The fire was started by a tree blowing onto power lines on April 16th during high winds.
