Our gravity wave has pushed east tonight.

Ahead of it, winds are strong and gusty. Behind it they have relaxed considerably.

Rain covers the eastern half of the state. This rain mass will continue moving eastward into Georgia.

Drier and colder air will move into Alabama on Christmas morning. Temperatures will recover only a couple of degrees, if at all. Highs will be in the lower 40s at best.

A couple of snow flurries or a little light rain will be possible, but it should not be measurable.

Winds will be brisk, out of the west.

Lows will drop to below freezing tomorrow night, heralding the beginning of an extended cold period in Alabama.
