Tornado warnings for Perry, Hale, Pickens and Tuscaloosa counties.
Two gravity waves have or are in the process of interacting with the tornadic storms over west-central Alabama. The first one interacted with the storm over Tuscaloosa, and the second one is interacting with the storm over Greene and Hale Counties now. Our research at UAH has shown that these waves can make tornadoes more likely in storms.
